In "Finn Family Moomintroll" (original title "Trollkarlens hatt"), Thingumy and Bob are two small creatures who arrive in Moominvalley with a mysterious suitcase. They are inseparable friends who speak their own language. Throughout the story, they are pursued by the Groke, who wants the suitcase they carry. Eventually, the contents of the suitcase are revealed to be the King's Ruby, which they had taken to keep it safe. Moominpappa shows his kindness by welcoming Thingumy and Bob into the Moominhouse.

"Thingumy and Bob had now run riot at the end and definitely overcome the Groke. They are inseparable and sleep together in a desk drawer. No one understands their language, but that doesn’t matter so long as they themselves know what it’s all about.

Moominpappa reflects on their behavior, saying, "You must be fair. Particularly as Thingumy and Bob can’t see the difference between right and wrong: They were born like that and can’t help it." (Finn Family Moomintroll" (1948))

With this tent, we want to tribute these Moominous qualities, being kind and protective, providing a safe and welcoming space for anyone that needs a home. Their story highlights themes of friendship, bravery, and the value of standing up to bullies.

Printed motifs in black and white  of Moominpappa, Moominmamma, Little My, and Moomintroll, along with garden light decorations, make this tent both decorative and easy to place in any room with its clean black and white design. The tent features two striped inner pockets for storing books and small toys, and a smaller pocket outside where you can find Moomintroll comfortably leaning. Little My is also half-visible, standing in the pocket, ready to take care of your favourite teddy or storybook.

The tent, with practical and decorative pockets in blue and white stripes both outside and inside, has space for small books or toys, so you always have what you need in your own cosy area. The Moomin tent is made from canvas in certified cotton and FSC-certified wooden poles. The door can "always be open" by using the curtain holders at the side of the door.

Having a personal space encourages children to take ownership and feel independent, which is crucial for their development. Tents can provide a unique area that fosters imaginative play, allowing children to create their own worlds and stories. Reading fosters empathy, helping children understand and share the feelings of others. Fiction enhances this by letting children comprehend characters' thoughts and emotions, translating to real-world empathy. Tents offer a quiet space for children to retreat and relax, having their own snug alone-time. A cosy nook with pockets for books can be a perfect spot for children to read more, enhancing their interest in books and reading. Sharing this tent space with siblings, friends, or parents for reading together can also improve social interactions and collaborative play.
