Cheval à tirer rose

A pull-along toy from the Carl Larsson collection that’s ideal for children who are learning to walk and want to take their friend on a trip. The horse has a long drawstring and a nice tail made of a few strings, which is fun for little fingers to touch. This wooden pull-along horse has colours picked from Karin and Carl’s interior design style. At the end of the 19th century, Karin’s sister lived in London, where pink and green were frequently used for decoration. Karin was inspired and chose to paint certain walls and mouldings in this pale pink and fresh green colour. You can find an example of this in Carl’s famous work “The Flower Window”. The pattern, which looks like a four-leaf clover, can still be found in their interiors, which are preserved in their house.
