Tent MOOMIN

With this tent we want to celebrate some of the qualities that make the Moomins so loved – kindness and care. The Moomins create a safe home for everyone who needs a place to belong. Their stories are often about friendship, courage and standing up against injustice. Moomin House is a central part of their lives and a home filled with warmth. Or as Moominmamma says: “I think it's very nice here, said Mamma. It is a room where you can live together.” (Moominpappa at Sea) The tent has two striped inner pockets for books and small toys, and a smaller outer pocket where Moomintroll leans back comfortably. Little My peeks out too, ready to watch over your child's favourite story or teddy. The tent, with decorative pockets in blue and white stripes both inside and outside, creates a cosy place where small books and toys are always within reach. It is made of heavy canvas of certified cotton and has FSC-certified wooden poles. The door can “always be open” by fastening it with the curtain holders at the sides. Having a place of their own gives children a sense of independence, which is important for their development. A tent can become a free zone where they can create their own stories and worlds. Reading strengthens empathy by letting children understand and feel with others. By having a calm corner with pockets for books it becomes easier to read more and discover the joy of stories. Sharing the tent with siblings, friends or parents at story time can also contribute to togetherness and interaction.
